HELP US TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF OUR PAST

It costs around £50,000 per year to keep the museum running...

...and that cost is allowing for the fact that the museum is largely staffed by volunteers.  East Grinstead Museum is a registered charity and as such, is reliant upon the generosity of grants and donations.  We do not charge for entry to the museum.

We receive no regular funding from County or District Councils; no regular funding from other bodies, and no regular funding from sponsors.  We rely on our shop sales and donations from our visitors, on the fundraising by the 'Friends of the Museum', and on a small grant from the Town Council, subject to a successful application.

We do apply for specific, one-off project funding from local and national grant-giving bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund, but this does not keep the lights and heating on!

By supporting us through a one-off donation, regular giving through one of our schemes, or by becoming a volunteer, you will help to secure the future of our shared past.
