Our very first Coffee, Cake and the Collection morning at the museum, this May bank holiday was a huge success; with 91 people through the doors its safe to say that it was a hit! The cakes were delicious and the coffee freshly brewed, especially lovely as a treat to escape the drizzly rain for a while.
We had out a number of artifacts from the Queen Victoria Hospital collection on display; including photographs of occupational therapy with a child using clay and a woman weaving, a photo showing adapted cutlery being used by another patient. We even had a printing block that was used to print business cards in the community.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event, we hope to see you at the next one on Monday 5th of June.
