Queen Victoria Hospital Archive Project

Why not come and see the results of the recently completed “Queen Victoria Hospital Archive Project”?

This Wellcome Trust funded project saw staff at the West Sussex Record Office work with the patient records from the Queen Victoria Hospital. The Hosptial transferred these records to the Record Office in 2012. They cover around 14,500 people – including 600 or so records for the Guinea Pigs.

The museum and the project’s archivists have been working together to digitise these files. Consequencely, this included adding digital copies of drawings by Mollie Lentaigne to their relavent records. Ultimately, this has reunited the images with their patients, and made them more accessible to researchers. You can find out more about the Project here.

This exhibition is only on for a short time, so pop down to the museum today!
