The Hidden History of Felbridge

The Hidden History of Felbridge by Jeremy Clarke

Jeremy and his wife founded the Felbridge and District History Group in 1998, and have been researching the local area for over 30 years. Jeremy has a particular interest in the medieval period and how it impacts the landscape and settlement patterns that we see today.

Whilst seeing the 20th century dwellings along the roads may shape some people’s view of Felbridge. There is a wealth of history in the area, you just have to know where to look. This talk provides an illustrated timeline of the area from the pre-historic through to the modern period. It will investigate the communities which rose and declined before the development of the place we now know as Felbridge.

The talk will take place at East Grinstead Museum. It will follow current government guidance on the COVID 19 Pandemic to limit the spread of the virus.

Tickets are £5.
