Dame Katherine Grey (d. 1505)- fragments of a monument and fragments of her life by Caroline Metcalfe
Dame Katherine Grey (d1505) is an enigmatic figure who is recorded with her two husbands in a brass in St Swithuns Church.
This talk by Caroline Metcalfe, will talk about the remaining fragments of her brass and the fall of the church tower which destroyed much of the medieval church, then to present what we know of this lady and her husbands.
She will finish by suggesting how her representation in brass might have looked.
The talk is on Friday 23rd June at 7:30pm.
The talk will take place at East Grinstead Museum.
