This is an exciting opportunity to become involved with the Museum and its visitors. Tasks include welcoming visitors and introducing them to the permanent and temporary exhibitions and research room, selling the merchandise in the Museum's shop and helping visitors with enquires.
No particular skills or qualifications are required. This role would suit someone who has an interest in local history and likes meeting new people.
This is an opportunity is to help the trustees market the Museum. Tasks will include researching and developing marketing opportunities and devising publicity materials.
Previous marketing or publicity experience is desirable, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to use a computer.
This is an opportunity to help the trustees raise funds for the Museum by identifying organisations to apply to for grants and assisting with grant applications.
Would suit someone who is happy to work on their own, has excellent written skills and is able to use a computer.
This is an opportunity to assist the trustees in attracting local businesses to sponsor and support the Museum, by building relationships with local businesses and organising events for sponsors.
Previous experience of business sponsorship or sales is desirable. Would suit someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as lots of initiative.
This post offers the opportunity to work with the Museum's objects by helping the Curator with documentation, cataloguing, digitisation and storage.
No qualifications are required as training will be provided. It would suit someone who is keen to find out more about the workings of a museum, to work as part of a team, is methodical, has good attention to detail and is happy to use a computer.
