Hi! My name is Iggy and this is my webpage!

Iggy club logo

I'm a dinosaur and in particular an Iguanodon, (Igg-wah-no-don). I only eat plants because I'm a herbivore so don't worry, I won't try and eat you! I'm the mascot for the East Grinstead Museum, you can see me holding onto the donation box as you come in!

When you come into the museum you can see a footprint of my great, great, great, great, ggrreeaaatt granddad! We used to live in Sussex over 65 Million years ago. You can see how big I am compared to a human like you.

Why don't you join my club?  If you do you will receive:

  • An introductory gift
  • A membership card
  • Badges
  • 4 issues of the Iggy Club magazine

To join, just complete the form and return to the museum with a cheque for the correct amount.  We will then let you know when your membership pack is ready for collection.

The Iggy Team

The Iggy Club is run by a group of young volunteers aged 16-19.  They help out every Friday afternoon after school.

We are currently looking for new team members to take over as of September 2009 when 2 of the team head off to university.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact the museum on:

Riddles

A black dog is sleeping in the middle of a black road that has no street lights and there is no moon.  A car coming down the road with its lights off steers around the dog.  How did the driver know the dog was there?

The answer will be published next month, so check back to see if you figured it out!
