Helping the Museum -

Friends of East Grinstead Museum

Why not join the Friends of the Museum?  For a subscription fee of £10 per year, you will receive free admission to our speaker nights as well as regular newsletters and invitations to frequent "Friends" events.

The Friends group, founded in 1983, supports the museum by fundraising as well as helping out at the musuem behind the scenes and stewarding.  It has a programme of talks and social events.

Previous talks have been about the history of the East Grinstead hospitals; an in depth look at Firebacks; the transformation of Brighton as a fishing village to a fashionable seaside resort, plus many more.

There are also regular events such as quizzes, a garden party and the local history fair at the library, plus your chance to help out even further by sparing an hour or two in the annual street collection.
